Now I understand why you've been excited over Christmas? Congratulations b0b, you two seemed like an awesome couple when we were hanging out in July. Awesome news

Thanks guys, I couldn't ask for a better group of friends! For what it's worth, the (tentative) wedding date is Saturday, September 15th. You're all invited! -b0b (...wonders if Mere would go for a Wedding LAN at the reception? snicker)

You know what? That's a really frickin' good idea. I just so happen to have a really decent web cam at my disposal. Now, if only I can find some good server software that'll provide snapshots and recording capability... -b0b (...thinks Wes is on to something.)

Well, I'm pretty sure I can broadcast the reception, but the wedding is likely going to be a difficult thing to rig up. The church we want to get married in doesn't have Internet access. I'll have to ponder this Internet access issue. -b0b (...hmms.)

Congratulations! I would have said something earlier but I haven't been on here in ages. You do realize that with a September 15th wedding, Meredith will be wearing white after Labor Day? What would the fashion police say? Not that any of us would care though. Geeks & fashion sense are like oil & water. Seriously though, that's awesome. Let me know if you need help picking out music or if you need a flautist. You may want to steer clear of Pachelbel's Canon if you're anything like this guy though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdxkVQy7QLM I'm happy that you guys are happy. Awesomeness!

White after labor day? whats wrong with that? I just thought i would prove that geeks and fashion dont mix. But seriously. why no white after labor day?

I was once told that the saying "Don't wear white after labor day" was in reference to an old southern custom that said women should not wear white shoes before Easter and after Labor Day. Apparently they thought white shoes would make there feet colder during the chilly months in the south.... Who knows if thats right though.
