As I've been packing up to move out later this week, I've come across some neat stuff that I forgot that I had.
I took
four carloads of old computers, computer parts, monitors, printers, network devices, and other assorted stuff to Goodwill. I've been hanging on to some of this stuff since middle school (
*gasp*) but I finally decided I just needed to get rid of it. Some of my favorite items included a Vic 20, a Commodore 64 (with the audio cassette drive!), my original Intel 8080, a Radio Shack/Tandy TRS-80, and my very first network hub. It was sad parting with some of it, but it really needed to go!
The sad thing is, I think I've nearly got a
fifth carload ready to head over to Goodwill with some more recent (Pentium III era, mostly) motherboards, drives, processors, power supplies, and so forth.
I also loaded up a 20' trailer and an F350 truckbed
to capacity with old furniture and trash. I threw out three desks, a heavy oak waterbed frame, three couches, an entertainment center, a grill, several tires, a recliner, and countless bags and boxes of junk. Granted, most of that stuff belonged to Mike and Sara and was left behind when they moved out, but it still surprises me how much
stuff I managed to collect in just three years. I think there is a sermon hid in there somewhere!
I took Thursday and Friday off work to move. I've got some seriously heavy furniture to move, so be sure to say a quick prayer for me. I'm told hernias suck.

Remember, the forum will likely go offline sometime tomorrow, and will likely be down until sometime Friday. I'll try to keep it up as long as I can and I'll try to get it back up after the big move as soon as I can, but you guys have seen my office. It's going to take
forever to get all of the servers, monitors, and network devices moved. My back hurts just thinking about it.
