The campus was a lot bigger than I thought.  About 40,000 people work in Redmond for Microsoft.  The campus only holds the developers and the the big wigs, but unfortunately not any of the cool servers or anything like that.  Not really a haven for Network Engineers, but still a cool place to go to.  If any of you guys are software engineers you should come out here and look for a job.  Microsoft is having problems hiring enough people to come work for them.  Washington is doing a lot better than the the dying state of Michigan.  

I never saw anyone famous while in Washington, but I did meet a lot of people that work for live search.  My uncle's division, the same uncle that I came to visit, worked for the Book Search division which was ended a few weeks ago.  I saw Lake Bill which is just a huge fountain, and saw a bunch of people that worked on the Vista operating system.  Some of the people have already moved onto the new and upcoming Windows 7 project.  

The company store had crazy prices such as selling Vista Ultimate for $43.  I ended up getting a 8Gb Zune, and a copy of Office for Mac.

One last odd note.  In one of the live search buildings, building 88, the urinals were waterless.  It's part of Microsoft going 'Green.'  You just pee and you're done.  It's just weird not having to flush the thing.  Must be an animal instict.
