Why was he suspended?  Suspect tried to run, he stopped him, video proves it.  /case closed

Officer suspended for 10 days, no pay. 

The kid at 16 has already had 20 charges on his wrap sheet but never charged because he is "mentally incompetent".   To me, this classifies him as not knowing the difference between right and wrong in a legal sense.  Yet the kid claims(in the video) that he is going to press charges after the cop smashes his face.  I'm betting that he knows the difference between right and wrong so if the cop gets charges pressed against him, the kid should have all of his other charges stick as well.

Not only has the prosecutor dismissed all the charges against the kid, which were kinda bogus to start with, but he's even saying that the state should pay for the medical expenses for the kid.  That definitely means the officer did something wrong.

Still, if the kid wants to try running from a cop in central booking I say let him.  I've been there during my internship and there's no way out without a card.  I say let him run the energy out of him and then when he's done and out of breath the cop picks him back up and gets him finger printed and photographed with relative ease.
