So WB has actually pulled the PC port from sales, apparently due to massive outcry and a high percentage of refunds.  Hopefully they'll get their act together and republish it in a few weeks in an operational state.

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has passed away.  Sad  Among other things, Mr. Iwata was the chief programmer for Earthbound.  He also had a huge role in developing Kirby and several Mario titles.

They've got some really neat stuff.  From time to time, I pick up hacked carts for my NES and SNES.  Modders take leaked code of unfinished games (or fan translations of games not released in the US) and put them onto NES/SNES carts that play on regular consoles.

You can get some real gems this way.  Star Fox 2, for example, was completed for the SNES but never released due to the pending launch of the N64.  Radical Dreamers, a "wrap up" for Chrono Trigger (the best damn game ever made) was launched for the SNES SatellaView download service in Japan.  Since we didn't have that service in the US, we never got Radical Dreamers.

As a heads up, Knights of the Old Republic 2 just got a massive update on Steam.  The Restored Content mod has been integrated directly into the game.  KOTOR2 has also gotten Steam achievements, 4k resolutions, Steam cloud saves and trading cards.

I've always wanted to play the Restored Content.  I never thought 2 had as big of an impact as the first - but it seemed so abruptly changed - and now we all know why!

RPG Maker MV has just been announced, and it seems to bring with it everything I've always wanted from RPG Maker.  The new version will support high resolution (although no details on exactly what that means), side-view battles (think FF6), and multi-device support among other things.

So here's your daily dose of conspiracy.  Valve just pushed out an update to Dota 2 (the first game to be converted to the Source 2 engine) and it includes a file called hl3.txt.  It appears to be a configuration file that could potentially be related to Half-Life 3.

Just as a heads up, Fallout 4 is now available for pre-loading on Steam.  It weighs in at 23.8GB.

I took off Tuesday-Friday next week.  Time to lay in the junk food and get ready for midnight Tuesday!
